Three specific locations on the Main Campus of the University of Texas at San Antonio have been identified as the worst restrooms for women. A new guide titled “Rowdy poops: Main Campus women’s bathrooms” lists these facilities alongside the top three choices for students. The publication evaluates restrooms based on privacy, odor, and space.

The guide places the first-floor bathroom in the John Peace Library at the bottom of the list. The authors describe the experience as nightmarish due to a persistent smell that frequent cleanings do not remove. They note that a constant influx of students creates a never-ending line. Those who wait often find little privacy, with many women present in the room.

The first-floor main hallway bathroom in McKinney Humanities also ranks in the bottom tier. The guide describes the hallways as swamped, comparing the atmosphere to a claustrophobic concert pit. Students from various departments flock to these toilets, and the authors suggest that opening the doors feels like stepping into a fever dream. They advise students to avoid this bathroom entirely.

The first-floor restroom in the Flawn Science Building completes the list of worst locations. While the building hosts fewer students than McKinney Humanities, STEM majors use the facility frequently. The space is constantly packed, forcing users to crowd together or wait outside where they are visible. The guide states that the lack of space makes the experience humiliating and suggests finding privacy elsewhere.

The fourth-floor women's restroom in John Peace Library tops the list of best options. It is described as odorless, private, and refreshing. Two rows of stalls provide maximum privacy, and a row of hooks allows users to store bags away from the stalls. The room features orange and yellow tiles and a full-length mirror that the authors recommend for taking selfies.

The first-floor bathroom in the Main Building is the second-best choice. It serves as a quiet respite from the busy building. The authors note that shelves on the walls are always empty, providing space for backpacks. The room features brown tile, and users rarely run out of soap or paper towels.

The second-floor restroom in the Business Building ranks as the third-best option and is described as the most spacious bathroom on Main Campus. The space is large enough for a student to move around easily after using the facilities. Business majors who frequent the area leave it tidy, and the shelves provide a place to put purses.

The guide encourages students to take an extra flight of stairs or walk across a plaza to reach a better restroom. It states that the additional time is well worth it to avoid the crowded and unpleasant conditions found in the bottom-ranked facilities.
